Here at West Suffolk Honey, we pride ourselves in producing the finest quality pure English honey; including, unpasteurised honey and raw honey, all course filtered through 800-micron sieves. Our apiaries are within a 10-mile / 16 Kilometer radius of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The apiary locations are predominantly agricultural farmland, some of which is organic and ranging from light sandy soils to the East through to heavy clay in the west of the region. This offers a wide range of forage to our bees including mixed fruit farms, Oil Seed Rape, Field Beans, Borage and summer wildflowers to name but a few.
Our bulk honey and wholesale honey is packed, stored and sold in 30lb / 13kg buckets.
As a small business we are currently unable to handle 45-gallon / 170kg drums.
About Our Honeybees (Apis mellifera).
As a member and supporter of BIBBA (Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders Association) we practice sustainable beekeeping, and so our stocks are of locally adapted bees meaning we breed and rear our own queens from our best colonies eliminating the need for imported queens.
